During India’s freedom struggle, the great poet of the country, Subramanya Bharati, said that three things are necessary to achieve true independence. Kendriya Vidyalaya Ooty is a dynamic and progressive educational institution that aims to provide the best possible education to the students under its care set within the parameters of sound values and a disciplined environment. Educational Institutions are a plenty, all of which impart a learning, but it is our prayer that our students go out into the world with the strength, not only to reach and excel in their professional aspirations, but to remain beautiful human beings. Our motto, “Learn, Achieve and Inspire” captures the essence of our spirit. In our school, children gain an all-round education and achieve their potential not just in the academic field but also in the field of sports and creative arts. Most importantly, at the school, we are a team of dedicated teachers and staff, committed to the welfare of the children in our care. For us teaching is a passion and a calling. The importance of instilling good values in our students is our prime objective, as Ralph Waldo Emerson has so aptly said, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small compared to what lies within us.” Our objective is to provide students with the opportunity to serve, to lead, and to fulfill their potential in all spheres so that they can take their place and succeed in the modern world Our academic goals are dominated by the principle of 100% pass rate which is regularly achieved. I also believe that students who graduate from the school must aim to achieve an university exemption pass which will provide them opportunities that open many doors to building a successful future. I am also committed to providing our students with firm foundations in IT education. We have two computer Labs and fifteen e classrooms each and every student has daily lessons in computer skills and our plans are to extend IT education in many areas that they will need to be successful in the modern work place. We believe that every child is a winner and we will strive to ensure that they realize their full potential.
